UPDATE - MAY 12, 2016:

Lots of activity at Taft Park this week - site of the future veterans memorial:
The old paving bricks will be removed and reused in other New London parks.
New cement footings will be put in for the black granite walls, and the future black walls, and the walkways.
Electric wiring will be installed, and the lights relocated.
The new bricks will be installed for the walkways and the memorial itself.

Watch for future updates and more pictures as we move towards making this a reality - thank you again to all who are supporting this project - we have some great fundraising events coming up in the next few months and more information will be posted on those events in the weeks and months ahead!


FUTURE EVENTS: 

On Saturday, July 16th, Hilby’s Restaurant & Sports Bar is holding their 1st Annual Golf Outing at Shamrock Heights Golf * Eat * Drink * Banquet * Cater. Registration will begins at 9 a.m., with a shot gun start at 10 a.m. Best ball scramble. The cost is $75 per person or $300 for a team (members of Shamrock Heights can take off $20). The cost includes 18 holes and cart and 4 drink tickets on the course. There will be hole prizes, door prizes and a 50 / 50 raffle. Lunch will be provided on the course, compliments of Shamrock Heights. Dinner, entertainment and prize distribution will follow at New London Lanes. Proceeds will benefit the New London Veterans Memorial. Reservations can be made by calling Hilby’s at (920) 982-4982 and stop in to register in person.

8-11-2015: UPDATE: The order form for the veterans memorial tribute bricks are now available. In New London, forms are available at Bank Mutual, Wolf River Bank, the Chamber office, swimming pool, Corner Cafe, City Hall, and Parks and Recreation office. More locations will be posted here as well as on our website as they are confirmed. If you live out of town, please contact us here on our website, via email or message us on Facebook, and a form will be sent to you!
